About this Event:

Step behind the scenes and join us for an exclusive hard hat tour of the Hendrick I. Lott House. The house, which is currently closed to the public, is a living time capsule of New York City’s history and will explore the 283 years of one of Brooklyn’s oldest families.

This guided tour will give you a rare opportunity to learn more about the history of the Lott family, their farmhouse, and one of the oldest settled neighborhoods in Brooklyn, have an in-depth look at three centuries of architectural fabric, and learn more about the upcoming restoration and renovations to preserve the historic landmark.

About Your Guides:

Alyssa Loorya has a Doctorate in Anthropology and Archaeology from the City University of New York Graduate School. Dr. Loorya is the Principal Investigator and President of Chrysalis Archaeology, specializing in the history and archaeology of New York City and the surrounding area. She currently serves as the President of the Hendrick I. Lott House Preservation Association.

Mary Tsaltas-Ottomanelli is currently the Executive Director of the Hendrick I. Lott House. She has over a decade of experience working in historic New York City houses and received a Master's Degree in Public History from New York University.

Please note you must be 18 years or older to join this tour. All guests must sign a waiver upon arrival at the Lott House.
