About the event:

At 1,000 feet, The Brooklyn Tower is the tallest in the borough, both in terms of any properties built to-date and currently planned on record. The historic interior of the Brooklyn Dime Savings Bank, an adjoining landmark, will be restored and repurposed as a key retail anchor for the neighborhood, linking Flatbush Avenue and Fulton Street, two of Brooklyn’s defining thoroughfares.

The neighborhood has been the nexus of life in the borough and The Brooklyn Tower is playing a role in its
ongoing social, cultural, and business growth. Attendees will begin their tour in the residential lobby designed by Krista Ninivaggi of Woods Bagot in collaboration with SHoP Architects. The tour will also stop in the Dime Savings Bank, which influenced the design of The Brooklyn Tower in the silhouettes, geometries, and materiality of the tower.

Attendees will have the opportunity to explore the model residences designed by Gachot Studios, Husband Wife, and Leyden Lewis. Each unit draws inspiration from The Brooklyn Tower’s Art Deco architecture with dramatic finishes and blackened materials. Starting on the 11th floor and reaching the 52nd floor at just under 535 feet, the apartments feature a refined aesthetic and radical sense of place for the tower.
