About the event:

There is perhaps no other theater in New York City that charts Broadway’s rise, fall, and rise again better than the New Victory Theater. Tour-goers will take a deep dive through over 120 years of theatre history exploring the secrets and stories from Times Square’s oldest operating theater. Utilizing rarely seen historic photos, paired with some outstanding stories, this theater will come alive as past and present blur before your eyes. Featuring some of Broadway’s most famous showmen, from Oscar Hammerstein I to Harry Houdini, and animal antics, from horses centerstage to cows on the roof, these theater walls are talking and the stories are not to be believed. From opera to burlesque, and from dynamite in the basement to magic on the roof, this up close interior glimpse of the New Victory Theater promises theatrical surprises around every corner of this Broadway-turned-Off-Broadway gem!

About Tim Dolan

Tim moved to the Big Apple shortly after graduating high school to pursue a career in the arts. On the small screen, Tim was featured on Season Two of HBO’s Boardwalk Empire. Onstage, Tim was the Dance Captain in the Off-Broadway revival of Once Upon A Mattress starring Jackie Hoffman and John “Lypsinka” Epperson. He also performed as Abraham in the long-running hit musical Altar Boyz. His other acting credits include the National Tours of Altar Boyz and Gentlemen Prefer Blondes as well as numerous regional credits. He is a proud member of Actors’ Equity Association. As an arts educator Tim was on faculty at Rosie’s Theatre Kids, Rosie O’Donnell’s arts organization, as well as Dream Makers Performing Arts. Combining his love of theatre with his experiences as a New York City tour guide, Tim is excited to share and spread the knowledge of Broadway’s history and stories with you.
