New Film Shows How Art Brings Life to Green-Wood Cemetery

Last month, the Brooklyn Bridge Forest, a design that reimagines the historic Brooklyn Bridge as an icon of climate action and social equity, has been selected winner of the Reimagining Brooklyn Bridge competition, an international design challenge presented by Van Alen Institute and the New York City Council. In a virtual talk today at noon, we are pleased to welcome the creative brainchild of designer, strategist, and urbanist Scott Francisco who will share about this project and his longstanding work in the public realm.

Scott Francisco is the founder of Pilot Projects Design Collective based in New York City and Montreal. A designer, strategist, advisor and educator who helps organizations and governments envision new futures and re-design their infrastructure and culture systems, Francisco has expertise in architecture and urbanism, systems thinking, organizational and community development, natural environments, and sustainability. He is the co-founder of the Cities4Forests global network and two communities of practice: Wood at Work, and The Future of Forest Work and Communities.
