Presented by our partnership with Archtober

Archtober starts next week and runs throughout October, offering exciting tours, panels, and events that celebrate design and architecture in New York City. The American Institute of Architects is one of the many participating organizations that will host a variety of events throughout the month including a book talk with Martin Filler, author of the Makers of Modern Architecture series.

Oculus Magazine is AIA New York’s quarterly print publication that focuses on asserting the identity and advocacy of architects in New York. At the Oculus committee’s monthly book talks, members discuss a recent publication on architecture, design, or the built environment. The talks offer a forum for dialogue and discussion with the author of the book.
This month at the Center for Architecture, author Martin Filler will present the third volumes of his Makers of Modern Architecture series, From Antoni Gaudí to Maya Lin (Penguin Random House, 2018). Copies of the publications will be available for sale and signing. If you are or become an Untapped Cities Insider, you can attend this event on October 10th for free!
