Join us for a tour of the Secrets of the Eldridge St Synagogue After Hours. As a New York City Landmark for over a decade now, it’s bound to be full of secrets. For example, did you know that the chandelier in the synagogue is actually upside down? And that no one knows what the original stain glass looks like? Join us on February 23 as we explore the majestic Eldridge Street Synagogue, a staple institution in the Lower East Side for 128 years.

In addition, the Museum at Eldridge Street archivist will present the its latest exhibition: “Jewish Ghetto in Postcards”. In captivating color and stark black and white, this exhibition of original postcards from the Blavatnik Archive recalls vanished places in the United States and Eastern Europe that are at the heart of the Jewish immigrant experience.
