On April 20th from 3 to 5 PM, Untapped Cities Insiders are invited to an exclusive open house at the fabulous TWA Lounge at 1WTC. With views from Manhattan to JFK Airport 12 miles to the east, the TWA lounge at 1WTC on the 86th floor, designed by Lubrano Ciavarra Architects, is informed by key design features of Eero Saarinen’s iconic TWA Flight Center. The TWA Lounge, opened by Tyler Morse, CEO of MCR Development, showcases elements of what is underway at the highly-anticipated TWA Hotel at JFK Airport and features a plethora of jet-age TWA memorabilia from flight uniforms to vintage posters and more, curated in a museum-like format by Chris Betz of the TWA Hotel team. The TWA will preserve Eero Saarinen’s iconic TWA Flight Center terminal, restoring the 1962 landmark to its Jet Age splendor for generations to enjoy.
At this open house, mingle with fellow Untapped Cities Insiders and meet Untapped Cities founder Michelle Young and her team, while taking in the expansive views from high up in 1WTC! Chris Betz will be on hand to share information about the TWA Lounge and the TWA Hotel. Please note that there will be no food or drink served.
