Fashion week might be happening a block away, but the Lincoln Center Greenmarket was bustling as usual today. The only difference was the addition of some fashionable ladies looking for how to get to Canal Street. Wrong neighborhood ladies! Today’s highlight was the vintage apple cider press churning out for immediate tasting. A gallon of cider goes for $5.50.
The range of heirloom tomatoes was extensive, including my favorite, the Green Zebra, but there was also the wine tasting, maple syrup table, bakeries, seafood, duck, cheese and flower stands to catch your attention.
I particularly loved the mini bottles of maple syrup, which were called “Lil Rascal” bottles for $3 each in the shape of log cabins and maple leaves.
