About this Event:

Join Museum at Eldridge Street staff members Amanda Gordon and Maya Locker for an exclusive tour of the Museum's new photography exhibition, Lower East Side, 1975: Portrait of a Changing Jewish Neighborhood! Gordon will provide a guided look at the never-before-seen photographs, which provide a unique snapshot of the dynamic immigrant neighborhood. The exhibition tour will be followed by a tour of our 1887 synagogue building, including our magnificently restored Main Sanctuary. The evening will conclude with a Q&A session. 

About Your Guides:

Amanda Gordon is the Communications and Special Grant Project Manager at the Museum at Eldridge Street, where she spearheads the Museum's digital storytelling and outreach initiatives. 

Maya Locker has worked in various museum capacities, from public-facing to behind-the-scenes roles. Maya holds an M.A. in the History of Design & Curatorial Studies from Parsons School of Design, where she also worked as a Fellow at the Cooper Hewitt Smithsonian Design Museum. In her position at the Museum at Eldridge Street, she manages every step of over 80 virtual and in-person programs and space rentals annually from the early planning stages to post-event duties.

What if I need to cancel?

If you cancel more than 24 hours ahead of the scheduled event, you will receive a 100% refund. Please be courteous to your fellow Insiders and let us know if you can no longer attend so we can offer your spot to another person.
