Due to overwhelming demand, the original Immersive Van Gogh Exhibit in New York City is releasing a new block of tickets and Untapped New York readers have early access to purchase them! This exhibit will transform NYC’s Pier 36 at 299 South Street on the banks of the East River and fully immerse visitors in the famous paintings of Vincent Van Gogh, like The Starry Night and Sunflowers. The Immersive Van Gogh Exhibit was created by the world-renowned master of digital art, Italy’s Massimiliano Siccardi. For 30 years Siccardi has been pioneering hi-tech, immersive exhibitions in Europe. The technology Siccardi has crafted allows Van Gogh’s paintings to come alive on a larger-than-life scale, fully immersing the viewer in sunny landscapes, night scenes, portraits, and still life paintings.
The monumental projections, cast over 70,000-square-feet of space inside NYC’s Pier 36, will highlight the masterful brushstrokes, detail, and colors of Van Gogh’s artwork. For the New York installation, Emmy Award-winning and Tony Award-nominated designer David Korins (known best for his set designs featured in numerous Broadway hits including Hamilton and Dear Evan Hansen) will serve as Creative Director, joining the team with creator Massimiliano Siccardi and Art Director Vittorio Guidotti. Korins’s designs will be custom fit to the unique architecture of Pier 36 and will be further enhanced by additional site-specific installations, viewing platforms, and high-tech, experiential and interactive elements previously unseen in any other venue. One of the new features that Korins has created is a lobby experience that features his own abstract version of Starry Night made from 7,500 hanging paintbrushes.

The captivating animations of Van Gogh’s masterpieces are choreographed to a mesmerizing soundtrack by Luca Longobardi which features both contemporary and classical music. Over fortypaintings are displayed in the animations including the Mangeurs de pommes de terre (The Potato Eaters, 1885), the Nuit étoilée (Starry Night, 1889), Les Tournesols (Sunflowers, 1888), and La Chambre à coucher (The Bedroom, 1889), and so much more.

Immersive Van Gogh has sold over 1 million tickets across North America, captivating audiences in Toronto, Chicago, and San Francisco, and soon making its way to 15 more cities including New York, Los Angeles, Dallas, Pittsburgh, Las Vegas, Cleveland, and Orlando.
