Celebrate the 120th anniversary of the opening of New York City's subway system with the creator of Untapped New York’s Underground Subway Tour, Justin Rivers! Learn why New York City was late in the game to develop a subway system. This talk will also touch upon, how the route of the first subway line was determined and some of the failed modes of transportation that led to the subway. Relive the moment of the first subway ride by viewing actual footage from opening day! Finally, see how the subway rapidly changed—for better and for worse—and find out what might be coming next!
