For some time now, we’ve been following the progress of the NYC Ferry, New York City’s expanded ferry system that connects waterfront communities in the Bronx, Manhattan, Queens and Brooklyn. Since its launch in May 2017, the system has provided a new, affordable way to travel, and recently welcomed its 2 millionth rider aboard. Now, it’s the topic of a panel discussion, taking place at the New York Transit Museum on Tuesday, November 14, 2017. Entitled From Shore to Shore: New York Via NYC Ferry, the talk will focus on how development and the need for transportation influence each other, in addition to the planning process that allowed the NYC Ferry to flourish along 60 nautical miles of waterways.
