Happy Mardi Gras!  Inclement  weather washed out Saturday and threatened on Mardi Gras Day, but it held off long enough for the parades to roll. This tree on the St. Charles neutral ground along the Uptown parade route was pelted with beads over the past two weeks. Above is a photo taken on Friday, March 4. Here is what it looks like today, sagging under the weight of the beads:
