The first weekend in December marked my first Craft Market, hosted by the Handmade Makers Market  in the Old Fire Station  in  Oxford.  It was a great market with an excellent quality of stalls that could be seen on everyone’s table, and I was proud to be a part of it!

I didn’t venture far out of the Old Fire Station building itself, but isn’t it a beauty?  You can enter it from both sides of the building and the other side is just as impressive.  This isn’t a market that is normally in the building, but with Christmas coming up it was able to happen!  The Old Fire Station in Oxford is used for theatre productions and art shows throughout the year.  If you’re in Oxford, or visiting, you can check out what they have going on via their website here.

Oxford is a great English city to visit, there are some great tours you can follow or do and plenty of amazing buildings. In addition to being home to one of the world’s most famous universities, it was the birthplace of Alice in Wonderland. And yes, lots of great places to stop for tea and cake or a beer and pie – depending on what you’re after.
