There are a number of passages in the Grand Boulevard neighborhood and the fun part is that they all seem to connect. You exit one, and across the street is another, and soon you’re deep in the middle of a neighborhood, far from the main avenue. The Paris passages each have distinct personalities, some are dusty and traversed less often, others are full of visitors and packed with visual distractions. The Passage Jouffroy is one of the latter.

First, Musée Grevin  Waxworks is part of this passage. Waxworks is not unlike Madame Toussauds and today includes figures of Brad Pitt and George Clooney.  The figures peek out from the windows of the passage:

There are a number of hotels in this passage, including Hotel Chopin and Best Western Ronceray  Opéra.

The Passage Jouffroy was the first passage to have under-floor heating and many of the architectural elements reflect the technological advancements of the 19th century in iron, metal and glass.

The passage rounds a corner and exits at rue Faubourg Montmartre. with a nice photography gallery and bookstores.

Upon exiting on rue Faubourg Montmartre, the Passage Verdeau will be just across the street.
