Neighbors and friends are calling for support in raising Earl Albert's spirits while he recovers!
Each year, the massive tree atop Rockefeller Center's ice rink brings cheer to millions, and this year, the tree's donor—Earl Albert—could use some extra cheer. His neighbors are calling for help from the community to create a little Christmas magic.
A Great Barrington Community Board group Facebook post notified neighbors that Earl recently suffered a stroke and is currently in the hospital. His family reports that he is receiving great care and hopes to recover in time to make it to the tree lighting on December 4th, but community members want to ensure he is in good spirits.
To help cheer Earl up, neighbors, friends, and family are asking anyone who can to send Earl a Christmas card! As of this article's publication, the Facebook announcement has over 120 likes and was shared over 700 times. If you'd like to send a cheerful message to Earl, you can mail a card to:

Earl's tree arrived in New York City on Saturday, November 9th after a long journey from the South Berkshires. The 70-year-old Norway Spruce was planted at the Albert family home in West Stockbridge, Massachusetts when Earl and his late wife Lesley were newlyweds. Earl donated the tree this year in Lesley's honor.
Though the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree is currently obscured by scaffolding, decorating has already begun. Untapped New York contributor Robyn Roth-Moise captured workers adding the sparkling Swarovski crystal-encrusted star to the top on Wednesday morning.
On December 4th, the tree will glow with more than 50,000 multi-colored LEDs and we hope Earl will be watching from the plaza in good health! See more photos from the tree's arrival below:
