Secret Brooklyn Wins Prestigious 2019 Lowell Thomas Travel Journalist Award in Guidebook Category
Do you have a copy of Secret Brooklyn yet? The guidebook, which contains 150 of Brooklyn’s secret and weirdest places, and is in its second edition, was just awarded one of the 2019 SATW Foundation Lowell Thomas Travel Journalist Awards in the Guidebook category. The award is in its 35th year and is judged by the faculty at the University of Missouri School of Journalism. Secret Brooklyn is written by Untapped New York founder Michelle Young and CEO Augustin Pasquet.
This book was written for New Yorkers and Brooklynites in mind, and features secret museums, urban safaris, the oldest subway tunnel in the world, caves aging cheese, hidden rooftops, and much more. New additions to the book in the second edition include a hidden tennis club, a remnant of Penn Station in Brooklyn, a house overrun by statues of superheroes, and more. You can get an autographed copy directly from Untapped Cities (shipped to you or picked up from our Brooklyn office) or a non-autographed copy on Amazon.
