Vintage 1970s Photos Show Lost Sites of NYC's Lower East Side
A quest to find his grandmother's birthplace led Richard Marc Sakols on a mission to capture his changing neighborhood on film.
Over the past few weeks, you have been casting your votes for the “NYC Superlatives” awards with LinkNYC and Untapped New York. We’ve tallied up the votes and are excited to announce the winners! Starting today, you’ll see rotating creatives on the sidewalk kiosks throughout the five boroughs of New York City proclaiming the winners in each of the four categories you voted on: best new NYC attraction, best new restaurant, best new NYC-based TV show, and best new Broadway show, all for the year 2019. Each nominee was suggested by write-in votes from New Yorkers. For every category, the top three write-in suggestions made it to the finalists vote. And here are the winners:
