On September 30th, Sixpoint Brewery will open its doors to supply beer directly to consumers. The Red Hook facility’s courtyard will be used as the space to host the opening, complete with food, music and samples of its beers. Additionally, the brewery will debut a new beer flavor that will be available for purchase using its new beta app, which will allow customers to purchase in advance.
The app, called Sixpoint Beer Finder, debuted on September 22nd, and allows customers to buy small batch beers straight from the brewery. Customers can buy six packs of the Lil’ Raspy Raspberry Berliner Weisse and Toppen-ish IPA leading up to the brewery opening. Although there will be samples and growler fills at the opening event, there won’t be any beers for sale; customers will have to use the app.
Sixpoint Brewery’s Beer Finder app gives patrons a fair chance at sampling a brewery’s new beer creations by preventing long lines and wait times. During the September 30th debut, however, Six Point will not be able to accommodate people who did not purchase the new beer using the app due to high demand.
