Sneak Peek: Open House New York 10th Anniversary Edition

Mark your calendars, Open House New York’s annual OHNY Weekend will fall on Saturday,  October 6th and Sunday, October  7th. Since 2003, OHNY has been letting New Yorkers into hundreds of sites normally off limits to the public and facilitating tours throughout the City.

New sites for 2012 will include:  the Via Verde Affordable Housing Complex (Bronx), the Lakeside Center at Prospect Park (Brooklyn), the Four Seasons Restaurant, The Museum of Reclaimed Urban Space, The Park Avenue Armory, The Public Theater (Manhattan), The Museum of the Moving Image, the Wall-All Apartment (Queens), and the Gustafsson-Wells Private Residence (Staten Island).

In addition, many sites and events from previous years will once again be offered to the public.

There are many ways to get involved with OHNY.  Volunteer for a four hour shift or purchase a passport  and skip the lines by making a $150 tax deductible donation.  Enter your photos of OHNY sites in their Focus on Architecture Contest.
