Don’t miss your chance this week to get up close to the giant “2” and “0” numerals that will top Times Square this New Year’s Eve. Before they take their position beneath the famous New Year’s Eve ball, the seven-foot-tall numerals will be on display in Times Square for a public photo op. After their stay on the ground, the numbers will be lifted to the top of 1 Times Square to ring in a brand new decade!

The numerals arrived on Wednesday aboard a flatbed truck and were placed in TSq Plaza for the public to view. In total, the four illuminated numerals of “2020” use 618 9-watt energy efficient LED bulbs. The numeral “2” contains 145 bulbs, and the “0” contains 164 bulbs. The number sign will shine bright below the glittering countdown ball on December 31st as millions around the world watch the ball drop.
