Our Madison Square Park in-person walk was so popular we decided to turn it into a virtual talk so join Chief Experience Officer, Justin Rivers as you virtually stroll around the secrets of one NYC's oldest public gathering spaces. The park was named for James Madison, the fourth president of the United States and it's also the start of the famous avenue with the same name. It has been an urban public place since 1686 and officially became a public park in 1847 and the hotbed of Gilded Age goings-on since the very beginning of the era. It has also been home to some of the most famous art installations in New York's history, including the torch of Lady Liberty.
