I’m not trying to capitalize on the spirit of Independence Day. This is an actual human I saw on the subway (probably the F, probably in Brooklyn) a few weeks ago, way before Fourth of July festivities kicked off. There’s something to be said for the unapologetic garishness of wearing the American flag as your shirt, so here’s to you, Patriotic Subway Guy. Take advantage of the fact that the Fashion Police are not a real law enforcement agency. Enjoy your freedom.
