How to Make a Subway Map with John Tauranac
Hear from an author and map designer who has been creating maps of the NYC subway, officially and unofficially, for over forty years!
On 24 July, a new building concept was officially launched in Singapore which encompassed three elements: Nature, Adventure and Culture. The subtle name was picked because all these words had a similar matter- TURE, said co-creator Sharon Lee.
The open house drew in a crowd of more than 400 people that came for the abundant food and activities such as yoga, pilates, rock climbing, ukulele workshops, infant and toddler massages, kayaking, silk screening and coffee demonstrations by popular coffee house Loysel’s Toys.
TURE is nestled beautifully between the Kallang River and Kallang Riverside Park. Its idyllic location overlooking the basin stirs up memories of Kallang’s historic past of sawmills and industrial gasworks. Today, its waters and parks are filled with the vibrancy of Singapore’s sports and recreational lifestyle. The Kallang River basin has been targeted by the government of Singapore as an outdoor activities hub, and therefore the addition of TURE is a key part of this vision.
Although a stone’s throw away from the bustling city center, TURE transports you to a lush green sanctuary where nature, adventure and culture thrive. This former warehouse is now home to a thriving art, sports and culinary community whose focus is on bringing out the inspiration in you.
TURE is managed by SOI Collective Pte Ltd, an integrated group of professionals with a background in hospitality consulting and development projects. SOI looks to transform the way people live by providing interesting alternatives that inspire a unique lifestyle.
