New Film Shows How Art Brings Life to Green-Wood Cemetery
Discover how the living and the dead make Green-Wood Cemetery a vibrant part of NYCs cultural scene!
The United Palace, one of the original Loews Wonder Theaters built in 1930, continues to host cultural events for New Yorkers 90 years later. This November, you can experience the classic Alfred Hitchcock film North by Northwest on the theater’s very big, 52-foot, screen. Before the film, Tiffany Vazquez, Senior Manager of Editorial at GIPHY (for all film-related GIFs), and film historian Lou Lumenick will give an introduction. The classic film about a New York City advertising executive who goes on the run after being mistaken for a government agent by a group of foreign spies stars Cary Grant and Eva Marie Saint. The opulent theater was first built in 1930 as one of five Loews Wonder Theaters in the New York City area. If you are an Untapped New York Insider, you can attend this screening for free!
