Williamsburg, today, is known as a high-end “Real estate development with water views.” That’s exactly how a reputable New York blogger described the post-2006 rezoned neighborhood. But before it was the neighborhood that spawned the hipster, Williamsburg was a haven for counterculture artists looking for cheap rents. Before that, it was a major immigrant enclave, and even further back in history, Williamsburg was a melting pot Mecca of American industry and capitalism. In the very beginning, the neighborhood was a high-end “real estate development with water views.” Who says you can’t go home again? Join Untapped New York’s Chief Experience Officer, Justin Rivers, as we go on a virtual tour that examines the industrial, artistic, gritty, and hip layers of Williamsburg’s northside.

This live virtual event on Thursday, December 3rd at 12:00pm ET, adapted from an in-person Untapped New York walking tour initially developed in partnership with the Wythe Hotel in 2017, is organized for Untapped New York Insiders. Not an Insider yet? Become a member today and get two months with code JOINUS. A video of the tour will also be made available to all our Insiders afterward in the Video Archive section of our website.
