I was just selected as one of 500 people to participate in an all-night scavenger hunt in the New York Public Library at Bryant Park, called “Find the Future.” The event is on May 20th and goes from 8pm to 6am! Using smartphones, we’ll be exploring the library’s 70 miles of stacks, following clues to a hundred treasures, such as the Library’s copy of the Declaration of Independence in Thomas Jefferson’s hand and the original Winnie the Pooh. We’ll also be writing a collaborative book which will be added to the Library’s collections. The event is part of the centennial celebration of the New York Public Library. The application asked us, “By the year 2021, I want to be the first person to…” I want to be the first person to play cello in Antarctica.

Stay tuned for articles leading up to the event, including a photographic tour of the library and reporting on the event itself!
