In addition to the return of The Untapped New York Podcast, we have a new weekly (ish) show, Take the 5! In this short five(ish) minute episode, each week Michelle Young and Justin Rivers from Untapped New York will first go into our time machine and share a fun historical event that happened this week in history. Next, we’ll discuss a timely, weird, wacky, fun current event. We’ll end by discussing the upcoming Untapped New York events we’re most excited about in the next week.
Our first Take the 5 premiered on October 14th. In that premiere episode, we talked about the modern almanac (which you can buy) and the launch of Nintendo, which happened only in limited release in New York City!
This week, we discuss the anniversary of the opening day of the George Washington Bridge along with a new alligator installation you can find in Manhattan.
