Illumination Spring Showcase is a non-profit with a mission “to empower light artists to create brilliant works of art for the NYC community.” At the festival, the organization will highlight seven local and international light artists along with performers and DJs. The artists hail from South Africa, South Korea, Los Angeles, Brazil, and more. Each artist approaches the use of light from their own perspective, drawing inspiration from varying sources such as music, nature, robotics, society, and outer space.

In addition to the interactive light art featured at the Illumination Spring Showcase, there will also be performers, activities, and live DJ sets. You can watch jugglers with LED-lit props, see fire dancers, and be dazzled by Coney Island aerialists. You can even turn yourself into a work of art by sitting down for face painting with body paint artist Jeanette Salazar. Each night there will be live DJ sets and the final evening will conclude with a silent disco.
