Listed on the National Register and a City of Yonkers Landmark, Alder Manor was designed, built, and curated more than 100 years ago for mining tycoon William Boyce Thompson. Overlooking the Hudson River and Palisades, it was designed by renown architects Carrere and Hastings in the Renaissance Revival architectural style. The property includes four distinct buildings; the 1912 mansion, an adjacent chapel, a caretaker cottage, and a previous college dormitory which has been 87% demoed.
