About the event:

On April 20, a digital art spectacle showcasing the work of revolutionary Austrian painter Gustav Klimt is coming to downtown Manhattan for a special one-day public exhibition: Gustav Klimt, Gold in Motion.

Set in the landmarked former Emigrant Bank in the bustling streets of Tribeca, Hall des Lumieres is Manhattan’s largest permanent center for custom-curated immersive experiences. The venue connects audiences with art and history through cutting-edge digital technology. Hall des Lumieres opened in September 2022, introducing NYC to the vibrant colors, intricate patterns, and ethereal gold leaf of Klimt’s masterpieces in its inaugural exhibition.

Produced by Culturespaces, the April 20 revival of this exhibition will celebrate Klimt’s story in six distinct sequences, taking viewers on a journey through the artist’s life and the major themes of his work. The event will also include access to the day’s three pairing exhibitions: HundertwasserFive Movements, and Recoding Entropia.
