Visit one of the oldest bars in NYC, Pete’s Tavern, and enjoy a complimentary drink inside the hidden speakeasy room!

  • Step inside The Speakeasy Room and enjoy a glass of beer or wine while admiring features like the original tin ceiling  accentuated by a grand skylight and the original rosewood bar
  • Head downstairs to the see the original main bar, in operation since 1864
  • Admire historic details of the tavern such as the original floor tiling with some of the oldest tiles in NYC
  • See the O. Henry booth, where the famous author wrote “The Gift of the Magi”

Pete’s Tavern is the oldest operating bar and restaurant in New York City! Join us in our Speakeasy room and learn all about the history of this iconic restaurant, from its founding in 1864, to being disguised as a florist shop during Prohibition, to now, as we proudly continue to serve you elevated American comfort food and handcrafted cocktails.

Insiders will get to meet and hear an informational talk for Pete’s general manager of 35 years, Gary Egan. After the talk, we’ll  enjoy cocktail hour in the Speakeasy room. All Insiders who attend will receive one drink of beer or wine on the house!
