About this Event:

The Broad Exchange Building was designed by Clinton & Russell, a famed late 1890s architecture firm, and was once the largest office building in Manhattan, serving as the headquarters to investment bank and stock brokerage firm Paine Webber for 70 years. Designated as a landmark in 2000 and a notable example of early twentieth century New York skyscraper design, The Broad Exchange Building is a significant historical and architectural contribution to Lower Manhattan.

Located at 25 Broad Street the historic building is one of the last rental-to-condominium conversion projects likely to be seen in New York City and is inclusive of 168 one-bedroom residences, 135 two-bedroom residences and four penthouses.

Led by Vanessa Low Mendelson, Sales Director at the Corcoran Sunshine Marketing Group and a broker with more than two decades of experience and an encyclopedic knowledge of Lower Manhattan’s real estate market, this tour will include a deep dive into The Broad Exchange Building’s rich historical and architectural history, its variety of past uses and its evolution into the building we see today, as well as a walking tour through the Financial District highlighting two nearby properties (70 Pine Street and 1 Wall Street Court) designed by the same architecture firm as The Broad Exchange Building, along with public art landmarks the neighborhood has to offer.

Located in the heart of FiDi at the bustling corner of Broad Street and Exchange Place, The Broad Exchange Building offers proximity to the New York Stock Exchange, top-rated schools, world-class restaurants, entertainment, parks and multiple modes of public transportation.
