About the event:

On April 20, 1964 the area now known as  Flushing Meadows Corona Park was transformed into a World’s Fair ground for the second time. The theme was “Man’s Presence on a Shrinking Planet in an Expanding Universe.” The fair touted a future full of space travel and mega highways, while the present was packed with Belgian waffles and color televisions.

Sixty years later, join Chief Experience Officer, Justin Rivers, for a brief tour of the World’s Fair remnants not usually highlighted on our public Remnants of the World Fairs tour. He will also be joined by Untapped New York’s Artist-in-Residence and People for the Pavilion representative, Aaron Asis, along with founding members of the New York State Pavilion Paint Project as we explore the past, present and future of New York State Pavilion.

On this tour, Insiders will also get a behind-the-scenes tour of the only functioning Pavilion structure, The Queens Theatre.
