  • Grand Central Terminal - Educational, Informative and FUN If you are interested in history or are just looking for something to do in NYC try this tour. It’s very affordable - $35 and well worth the money. Meeting place is inside the terminal and you will be sent an email telling you the exact location to meet. You learn a bit of the history about this magnificent structure (past and present) and are walked around the different areas of the terminal both inside and outside. The tour leader is very knowledgeable and asks and answers questions presented to her. Tour lasts about 90 minutes. I won’t give away any secrets, you have to take this tour to find out for yourself. It was enjoyed by all in our tour and there were people of different ages in my tour. More

  • Grand Central Really great tour with Justin. Highly recommended
Got to know so much more than we already knew.

  • A Must On Your Visit to NYC This great tour shows you all the background and history of this beautiful building, as well as showing you some of the spots that are off limits to the normal traveler. You learn the meaning behind the granite sculpture over the main outside entrance and you go to the bar that was originally the apartment for other building's designer. Don't miss this tour - you will be so much more enchanted with this magnificent building when you learn the history and see its "private" parts!!

  • Impress your friends with little known stories and facts! Justin was such a great tour guide. He had so many great stories and facts about GCT. He barely stopped talking for the entire 90 minutes and had answers to almost all of the questions from the tour group. He also had some great stories from spaces he had the opportunity to see before they were closed to public, so we really got the feeling that we were seeing/hearing things that other people would not know!
We were blown away by this amazing structure and by Justin's knowledge!!

  • AH-Mazing! Our group of 8 really enjoyed our tour with Mandy. She was knowledgeable across the board with history, facts and snippets of NY. Her energy was contagious and our time with her FLEW by! I highly recommend this tour! And Mandy!

  • Think you know Grand Central? Running through GST to catch a train won’t give you an appreciation of this amazing building and the important history behind it. Take Untapped Cities “Secrets of Grand Central Terminal” tour to take a slow and considered visit with guides who really know their material. Unfortunately, due to security concerns, the truly secret places can no longer be visited by the general public, but the guides have the photos and the back-stories to give you a flavor of magnitude of the building’s unique and fascinating history and use.

  • Grand Central Commuter Never Knew Half of What I Learned Justin loves GCT and it shows. Great anecdotes and tons of historic detail. Justin follows a story arc from the early days of train travel in NY to the present. His enthusiasm is palpable and he never got boring or repetitive. It helps that GCT is a gorgeous building with a fascinating back story.

  • Secrets of Grand Central Great Experience and worthwhile....I've been going through GC every weekday for the last 12 years and always wanted to do one of the tours.

Guide was outstanding -- great history -- will never look at GC the same way!

  • What an insight A brilliant tour giving so much more insight into Grand Central Terminal now and the history as to how we got to what we have today.
Grand Central is pivotal part on New York, this tour is recommended, we took towards 2 hours, a little bit of feedback would be it is about 20 minutes too long.
    No hesitation in recommending.

  • Grand Central if truly more grand than we know! The only real improvement would have been the use of the microphone and headsets. it was difficult at times to hear the explanations by our guide.

  • An amazing tour in one the most iconic NYC building Loved it. You normally just pass by Grand Central. Always in a rush. Sure, you know it's beautiful. Every knows it. But you rarely stop to see the staff walking behind the glass corridors, or the tennis court, or the beautiful Gustavino arches in the whisper gallery or even the Commodore statue outside, etc, etc, etc. A very knowledgeable and passionate guide made the experience super interesting.

  • Better than expected! I’ve always loved the Grand Central Terminal building but this tour gave a great mix of history, mythology, and insider tricks I didn’t know. Andy was great and I left with even more passion for this extraordinary building. And I’ve passed on some of my newfound knowledge to American colleagues!

  • Absolutely Wonderful Really interesting tour about the history of Grand Central and some elements you might not know even if you're familiar with it! Great tour guide and very informative tour. I'm a native New Yorker and history lover and I still learned loads more than I previously knew.

Heads up that it's all walking/standing and it can be quite crowded/loud in Grand Central which makes it a little tricky but the tour guide did a good job of trying to work around that.

I also really enjoyed that they showed photos on an ipad to give you an idea of some elements that are no longer there.

  • Great tour with enthousiastic guide Recently my girlfriend and I visited NewYork. We thought it would be fun to take a special tour of the Grand Central Terminal, and we were right. The information they show and tell is not new, you can find all of this online and in books if you wish. But to be there and see it with your own eyes as you hear it being told by an enthousiastic guide, brings the tour to another level. I never knew so much of the things we are used to now with traveling actually might have originated from the building of GCT. You dont visit area's that are off limit to the public, dont think this tour will get you literally behind the scenes because they wont. You will go to places you wont visit during your commute or during your visit as a tourist, since not all the entrances and places are known to the public. If you want to know more about this building, the time it was made and how it shapes the way we travel today. This is definitely a tour for you. They will even tell you a secret you wont find online or in books.

  • Great tour We had a great time with Gabby as our tour guide for the Sectets of Gtand Central Terminal tour. I really enjoyed her chat, very informative, learned a lot! It was so good to get to see bits of the station that we would otherwise have missed and hear the stories that really brought the history to life. Would definitely recommend the tour.

  • Refreshing take one of New York\'s most loved landmarks! Would most definitely recommend this tour! It was truly a refreshing mix of interesting history, humour, controversial mutterings and architectural amazement! The guide was fun to listen to and well-paced and had the most interesting series of handouts for us to glance during. The earphone tech was also on point, and he always made sure we were all included and up to speed, comfortable speed with his recitation.

  • All the tidbits and secrets revealed.... I toured GST with headsets about 4 years ago but this was by far a superior experience. I was amazed this time to learn about all the things that are in plain sight that you see but don't register as significant. It would be great if you could 'go behind the scenes' but it's totally understandable, in today's world, why that is allowed anymore. The guide did a good job of explaining the places we couldn't go to anymore so I don't feel like I missed anything. The listening devices worked great, i wish more tours used them.
