Saturday’s dinner, hosted by UntappedParis and Singapore Takeout with Chef Andre Chiang will be at the Hippodrome d’Auteil, a racetrack that opened in 1873 on the edge of the Bois de Boulogne. It was host to the equestrian portion of the 1924 Olympics and still used as  a steeplechase. It’s also used for  Fête de la Musique, the annual city-wide music festival in Paris.

But not all monuments in Paris get the same love and I was surprised to find just 14 photographs of the racetrack on Flickr. Overall, there aren’t too many great images on the internet, so we hope to capture some this weekend. What my research did yield was that the Rolling Stones performed there at the Hippodrome in 1982:

We’re excited that Untapped will add to the illustrious and untapped history of the racetrack this weekend.
