Rue de Belleville is teeming with Tunisian, Algerian, and Moroccan restaurants, interspersed with Vietnamese, Chinese and Ethopian cuisines. Its certainly feels like the heart of Paris’ melting pot.
The Parc de la Villette is the largest landscaped park in Paris. Designed by Bernard Tschumi, the park is home to numerous concert halls. This summer I checked out the National, Pavement, Fanfarlo, Temper Trap and Plastikman.
The Putting Lot is a nine-hole miniature golf course designed by teams of architects, urban designers and artists on a vacant lot in Bushwick, Brooklyn. The Putting Lot explores the possibility of an alternate use for these empty spaces”¦with an emphasis on community space. The result is a public art/urban infill/fun summer experiment!
