24. Chamber Queer 2023: We Refract – Multiple dates
Chamber Queer is a queer music group that performs newly composed music. The ensemble has instruments including flute, harp, cello, and even a mrudangam. This event is kid-friendly, so you can take your children to Brooklyn, Manhattan, or Staten Island to listen to some beautifully queer music.
25. Audre Lorde Walk – June 17th, 1:00-2:30pm
Join Urban Park Rangers for a walk at Silver Lake Park in honor of the Staten Island poet Audre Lorde. Guests on this walk will learn bout Lorde’s life and her legacy while taking in the natural beauty of the lake which sites near the poet’s former home.
