Great tour for visitors or native New Yorkers! I have lived in and around NYC for more than forty years. I commuted into Grand Central for many of those years. I do not remember ever looking up or around the terminal because I was too busy making it into my office on time or running for my train home. John’s tour is all about what I missed seeing, and appreciating, all those years. Whether you are a visitor to NYC or a long-time resident you will greatly enjoy this tour. John takes you to and describes so many historical hidden wonders. His flip book is filled with many historical pictures. If you are a student of architect and historical restoration this is the tour for you. I highly recommend this tour!

Fun and interesting This tour was really fun and I learned a lot; I'm glad I did it. Alexis is a great guide, she was clear, easy to hear (thanks to ear pieces), and kept a nice pace.

Grand central Great way to learn about one of the most beautiful buildings in NYC . Afterwards we went to the Campbell Bar which was amazing .

Entertaining tour of GCT Enthusiastic tour guide John D. took us through the history of Manhattan and the building of Grand Central Terminal. So many interesting details and stories of how this building survived! And lots of historical photos from the tour guide added to the marvel of planning underground train tracks in NYC and the various histories of the spaces included, up to present day, and the restoration.

Very Informative My 13 year old son and I did this tour. It was very informative and AJ was an amazing tour guide. Loved it all! I have been to Grand Central Station a few times, but I didn’t know much about it at all. Especially the tennis court, whispering area.

Incredibly entertaining! We had such a great time on the tour. Jonathan is an entertaining and enthusiastic guide and everyone was made to feel very welcome and included. We learnt so much, which is not surprising as we were there from the UK, but a man who had commuted every day of his working life through GCT said he had only a smidgeon of knowledge compared with what he leant on that tour. We bumped into Jonathan on the subway afterwards and he was just as lovely as he was on the tour. Highly recommended!

Excellent Gilded Age tour! Like many, I love the HBO Max series Gilded Age. When I saw this walking tour was available, I jumped on it! There were about 30 of us there, and we were divided into two groups. Richard was the guide for my group. Each of us was given an ear piece to use, so that we could hear Richard very clearly. Richard absolutely knew his stuff! He started the tour with information about the Gilded Age series, so that was a thrill. His knowledge of history and architecture was both thorough and accessible which is not always the case. The tour was an easy walk, but we covered significant ground. Several times, we were able to pop inside a building - such as the Ralph Lauren flagship men's store - to see examples of Gilded Age interior finishings. After two hours, which went like a flash, my brain felt full of fascinating information. Thank you, Richard, for a splendid tour. I can't wait to take another Untapped New York tour!

History Unknown Bill was a very well informed pleasant guide who provided the group with history as well as myths. We would recommend it.
